Program of The Day
We will start our acquaintance with the city with the most "non-Turkish" residence of Istanbul; it was created in order to compete in pomp with the best palaces of European rulers.
It was here that the founder, the first president of Turkey, Mustafa Kemal Ataturk, lived and died. This palace has a Royal courtyard, which we will also walkthrough. It is a picturesque courtyard with a magnificent view of the palace and the Bosphorus Strait.
Also here is the Mosque of Bezmi Alem Walide Sultan-it was built in honor of Bezmi Alem Walide Sultan. On the palace territory, there is a Clock Tower built in 1895 and has a height of 27 meters. The clock on the tower is still running.
After lunch, we will sail through the very" soul " of Istanbul, at the place where two continents meet-the Asian and European parts. You will discover the Bosphorus Strait's extraordinary beauty - the sultan's palaces, picturesque bridges, and the extraordinary atmosphere of the city.
After that, during a short cable car ride, the city will open up to you from a bird's-eye view.
It will take you to the famous Pier Lotti observation deck, where you can relax in a cozy cafe, drink Turkish coffee and enjoy the view of the city. This place was often visited by the French writer Julien Viot, who wrote novels under Pierre Lotti's pseudonym.
On the ferry, we will pass by such sights as the City Walls of Constantinople. The length is 5630 meters; they were erected to protect Constantinople from the barbarians under Emperor Theodosius II.
And of course, our program includes the most famous bay in the world. On whose shore our city - Istanbul (Byzantium, and then Constantinople) - was built-the Golden Horn Bay.
